How did you find out about Breakout?
My best friend was talking about one of his colleagues who started working for a prop firm. A few weeks later, Mayne posted on X an interview with Tuck (one of Breakout’s traders) and it inspired me to join.
Can you briefly describe your trading strategy?
My trading strategy is pretty simple. I trade false breaks on significant key levels or 4h 50, 100, and 200 EMAs, I do only long positions, after 1:3 R:R I move the stops in profit, and try to trail them. I love the PA trading that Mayne talks about – I usually mark out order blocks, where price could come back after bullish breakers. but that’s it.
How was your experience with the evaluation process and trading on the Breakout account?
I think I did both evaluations with large swing trades in a period of one month. I just start with a smaller position and then add to it when it goes in the right direction so I maximize gains using the same amount of risk. There is a saying “Add to winners, not losers” and it works like a charm. After my evaluation the market was very generous and I gained 45% in next 2 weeks. Now I have burned my 2nd evaluation account, but I will add more so I can basically long the dips and take some “argent” home (love the French word for it).
Are you day trading or swing trading?
I do more of swing trading, I like to hold positions up to 2 weeks, usually market sentiment changes in that period of time. When there is a pullback or correction of some sort, it usually won’t last more than that time. So I am more cautious and take some profits. It is a bit harder to make a good position, like last week right after my first withdrawal I got a bit carried away and tried knife catching this 2-day bear market.. but I will survive.
Do you have any favorite coins to trade?
I trade only Bitcoin, it is a lot easier to catch those moves and given it is like 56% of whole market, why should you do anything else? All the rest is for my spot bags – Solana and AI.
What was the hardest obstacle in your trading journey you had to overcome?
The hardest part of every trader is to be disciplined, patient and emotionless about his decisions and to survive for longer periods of time. I think I am really shitty trader and I promised to my self that I won’t trade this bull run, that I will grow spot, find new narratives – like AI this run. My biggest problem was that with smaller account it is pretty hard to be good at risk management, but then Breakout came along and put it all together – it gives you discipline and all of the traits above.
Are you trading full-time?
I think I am trading full-time, but I also think I could find more time to do this. I also have my 9-5 job, that lets me sit at the charts all day.. I have tried to do only crypto but it gets boring and you have too much time to do stupid things. So I suggest you do not do it full-time.
What does your trading day look like?
I wake up in the morning, usually right after Asia session. Go to cold shower, drink water you have to be really clear headed. Then I vibe in X and Discord, try to figure out where a good entry dip could be, and just do some trades, see what happens. I don’t want to complex things. All those indicators, strategies etc. not worth the time. You have to be ready to be stopped out a lot of times in a row. There is AI and market makers, that will move the market towards more liquidations to make more profits, so you have to go with the flow.
Would you recommend Breakout to other traders?
Yes. Even if you are small fish, and just arrived in the space, you can make serious cash, aim small at the beginning, stay humble and Breakout will help you put yourself in the mindset of a real trader. I highly recommend – it really changed me as trader.
